Circadian owns 100 percent of Vegenics Limited, a major cancer therapies commercial partnership originally initiated in collaboration with the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (LICR) and Licentia Limited, the commercial arm of the University of Helsinki.
Vegenics was founded in May 2006 with Circadian initially holding a 50 percent interest in the entity and LICR and Licentia jointly holding 50 percent. In August 2008, Circadian acquired a 100% ownership of Vegenics in exchange for Circadian equity granted to LICR and Licentia. Circadian now owns full and exclusive rights to develop the extensive intellectual property portfolio developed by LICR and Licentia of molecules known as Vascular Endothelial Growth Factors (VEGFs). Circadian also owns substantial additional VEGF-related intellectual property
